The black rhinoceros is gray. Sometimes it looks like it is the color of the mud in which it wallows. It has has a big head with two horns. Sometimes it has a third small horn. Its upper lip is pointed and rubbery, which helps it eat leaves, buds and shoots of small trees and bushes. Black rhinoceroses live alone, except for mothers and young.
