T he western blind snake has a blunt head and tail. It lives almost anywhere where there is sandy or gravelly soil. It spends much of its life under the ground in its burrow. Sometime it comes out on warm evenings or on cloudy days. It eats ants and termites, which it finds by smell. The western blind snake lives in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico.
