The armadillo lizard has strong spiny scales from its head to tail. It can wriggle easily into rock crevices for shelter. It is active in the daytime and feeds on insects and spiders. It moves very slow. It often rolls itself into a ball to protect its soft tummy. Armadillo lizards live in South Africa.
