    Carminati School - Tempe, Arizona - Tempe is a suburb of Phoenix. The giant Saguaro grows here in the Sonoran Desert.

    Myrtle Cooper School - El Paso,Texas - The school is located in the Chihuahuan Desert, near the border of Mexico. Many students who attend Myrtle Cooper are Mexican-Americans. The Socorro District was the recipient of a U.S. Department of Education Challenge grant in 1995, which makes the district a leader in uses of educational technology. 

    Kayenta School - Kayenta, Arizona - This school in the heart of the Navajo Nation. It lies in canyon country, on the edge the Great Basin desert. Enjoy aerial photos in the video of the Great Basin Desert which were taken near the Kayenta School. The school is quite near Monument Valley. 

    Nancy Cory School - Lancaster, California - Nancy Cory School is found in the Mojave Desert. The area is known for the many Joshua trees that grow nearby.

    Sonoran Desert Kids - Designed for kids, this site features animal fact sheets, games, and a glossary.

    Desert USA - This site includes numerous online maps and information about animals, plants, geology, and the peoples and cultures of the American deserts.
