MBGnet's Virtual
Desert Biome

The Boojum looks like an upside down carrot or turnip. It has branches and leaves too. The leaves are very small and do not lose very much water. When the weather gets very dry, the plant sheds its leaves. When there are heavy rains, the plant leafs out again. The stem of the Boojum is also special. It is succulent (which means that it can store water).
